Disagree on the welder...while not the greatest, it does just fine. Built my bumpers and beadlocks just fine and still going strong, Sure I'd take a Miller over it anyday, but for the money it is a great entry level welder. Just make sure to get the 2 year warranty in case something does go wrong, they will replace it no questions asked. The bender however, I would be wary of for doing a large project like a cage. There are lots of forces at work when bending tube that can lay down some serious hurt on you. Spend the money and get a good bender. I tried 1-2 "economy" benders before just spending the money on a decent setup, and with the $$$ I spent on those, I could've just bought a decent bender. It costs more up front, but worth every penny IMHO.

personally, i wouldn't bother with the harbor freight bender, they are designed for pipe, not tube, and the will crush the tube weakening it. Fabrications tools can be costly, I know, but it is well worth the wait to save and buy good quality tooling if you plan on doing this for any length of time.
pro tools, and JD2 make great benders and are realitivly cost effective.you could save and purchase one of these and a single die(pick the one you will use most) to start with, then you can purchase more die's as you can afford or see fit.

Really look back on it and wish I would have bough a good bender over the harbor freight one.
