So why are you going to run a joint or hiem on the upper links? With running all poly bushings on the lowers you have defeated the purpose of needing a flex joint on the uppers. If I remember correctly you were going this route to save money since any type of flex joint are pricey but IMO if your going to put two on your uppers whats two more to put on your lowers? Please don't take this as bashing just trying to understand your reasoning.

understood..i ordered the joints for the lowers as well as joints for my rear but am not putting them in right away....i wanted the joints up top mainly to make the uppers adjustable..also the ballistic joints are far cheaper than i expected...also ordered the pads for the springs to do the rear..(i sold a wrangler today and made out like a bandit ) also ordered locker

Let me understand this correctly....you're running short Upper Arms and Long Lowers?

Ifso. Thats some really wonky stuff right there, I've never heard of anyone doing that. You should really either do a Y-link set-up or a 3 link.

I have, the ride quality isn't as great as a full long ARM setup. But flexed better than stock short arms.

Iirc, a couple "long arm upgrade kits" just sell a longer lower arm.

i was talking to the guy who said there was a kit like this right above me... guess i could have quoted him...

u know its as easy as some misc tabs welded on about half way down your lowers and then run your upper arms to that point right? instead of to the body... just as easy as what your about to do...

Teraflex for one. And an xj I installed lockers on recently had a similar setup

That's a radius arm setup.

Ends up having binding issues that a 4 link or 3 link will not. It also adds a ton of stress on the axle assembly during flex

that just looks like a junk kit... looks like they still even want you to keep your factory upper arms! would never waste my money... plus that kit isnt as long as the other... that one stops before the crossmember... not a true long arm kit IMO

yes i know... but same concept... just do it on one side... most kits are on the pass side i believe due to the driveshafts and exhaust on a jeep...

Poly bushings on the lowers? Those are going to transmit a lot of vibes and road noise.
Use OEM style rubber, they provide better flex, ride quality, less noise, less vibes.

personally i don't like radius arms on the front with heavy tires and drive axles.....seems like alot of stress on everything and its all on 2 mounting points.fine for hot rods or dedicated of road rigs but not for me..i'm planning to run back to the unibody with arms that end up being about 5-6 in longer than stock..the rear may get radius arms not sure yet
