I didn't say he was breaking out the window. I said he will break it out. A buddy of mine kinda made the same thing. From the twisting of the unibody wheeling and from the vibrations of the items you stick near the window it will break the window out. Seen it done.
He tried and tried to cut down the vibrations and couldn't come up with a solution. He busted out all the windows and wheels the **** out of it now.

good idea ,i had the same type of idea but a bit differant , i was gonna weld bars to the floor and up to the ceiling ,across the ceiling and back down the other side with holders and stuff for everything , just make you leave enough space so if that shovel moves or taking it off and on the rack doesnt hit the window

I wont be mounting it rite near the window and Im not going to break it out. im an emt and fire fighter so I wanted to make something to holster a fire extinguisher and the shovel wouldnt hurt either, it will be supporting 10 lbs max so im going to drill rite into the plastic molding I think

thanks man, I was thinking about just buying some of that 1" metal electrical piping and cutting it to length and hammering just the end flat and cleaning it up and taping it. I would then drill 2 holes per end for screws to connect to plastic.I could fasten the bars together with ss clamps and It would be 4" from window

Ive already bought my extinguisher, its about 16" hight and 5 inches arround. I think Im going to make barckets that mount to the frame. I alreayd have my headliner and carpet out so that will be easy
the shovel for me is useless if i´m not inspired, first add some inspiration for the job.
well i understand the red points are the flat parts right??
ok
then the upper side is steel so you wont have any problem
the left and right side are plstic and behind steel so there is no problem
for the bottom i suggest to get under the plstic and tapper it direct to the steel.
IMO it will hold fine good luck
