I do know about where you guys are but bumpers aren't legally needed in kansas. All they are for is to lessen the impact therbye possibly keeping the frame and body from being damaged. I believe its personal preference. It looks good and as a temp its fine in my opinion

round here it comes in handy. kids flying round on 4 wheelers, city folk flying threw town and people pulling out in front of ya. just need a real bumper so i can get it to pass inspection. the original is fubar. after i took it off i found the left side bumper bracket is folded in on itself, and the frame is mashed.

well we took about 2 foot out of the roof, built a wall to close off the cab and reattached the hatch. We took a commanche tailgate and cut it down to fit. I have pic posted in the photo section.

OK I already have a good set up for the laptop in the XJ, I can use my android phone as a mobile hotspot for 4g speeds where available but am stuck to 3g otherwise.... 3g is great for web surfing but sucks for dloading and other higher bandwidth required functions.... SO I took my computer set up to a new level.....

First I took an old "g" wireless linksys router and had to flash or hack a new firmware into it..... This allows it to "repeat" and internet signal. So instead of broadcasting a signal, the router takes in other wireless signals and repeats them.... So anything you plug into one of those 4 ports in the back will have internet.

Then I mounted it to the stock tire mount hook with small bungees to make it removable.

I fired it up, connected to a signal over 100 yards away on another street and was getting 5mb of net speed!

Then I decided to take another old wireless "G" router I had and connect it to one of the ports in the back of the ugly blue router..... Now what this does is take the internet and gives me the ability to turn it into my own wireless signal with a separate IP address.

I have the repeating router set to connect to whatever unsecured signal in the area is strongest, this ensures I am getting the fastest internet possible at any given moment.

The antennas on the repeating router are high gain 11 dbi antennas..... This gives it much better range than the lousy 4 dbi stock antennas that it came with. The second router has its original stock antenna since Im not to concerned with broadcasting a huge signal.

here it is finished...

For those who missed my laptop mount....

that's awesome i had something similar to that in my previous vehicle but i used my laptop and some black hat programs to infiltrate wep an wpa networks but i do warn you piggy backing even on an unprotected network is illegal(i think it's actually a felony)

The truth is that its a pain while driving as it will keep switching signals making thhe internet stop and go, stop and go. Its nice for snagging free public wifi (cafe's, McDonalds etc...) because I can be a considerable distance away instead of having to be right at the location.
