i was thinking of taking this stuff out and rebuilding it with mdf board and carpeting it with speaker box carpet

They sell a camo replacement carpet at walmart in a roll, it's thin but I bet u could make it look goog

Default Homebrew gauge pod

while i'm waiting on install of my powerplant i removed my console trim bezel cut out the storage pocket and installed a plate to house my aftermarket gauges i alsole miter cut som pvc pipe to tilt my gauges toward me sow easier to see i think it looks cool

i was bored today so i removed my console bezel trim removed the storage hole and installed a plate to hold my gauges . i also took some 2in. pvc pipe and miter cut it so i could tilt my gauges towards me here's what it looks like i painted it with dark bronze hamer finish paint but no pic yet of finished job....

don't add that extra tube man. 1 it looks good as it sits and will work well 2 why all the extra weight up high? and 3 if your gonna add extra just do the X in the rear, leave the front alone it'll work well and be lighter, plus not look like a crappy jungle jim of tube.

I hear you but I need it to be retard strong!! The total weight of the halo with my additions will be less than 125lbs so it will be IMO comparable to a roof rack with a tire, high lift, shovel and any thing else they put in those huge roof racks. The pieces I am going to add weigh 35lbs which I don't feel is excessive. With all of it triangulated like that it will be super strong. I am not building this thing for looks, it will be thrashed and will probably end up on her roof more than once. Roll it back over and keep going is the idea, repeatable results is the goal.

Let me hear your or anybody else's thoughts on my logic.
