While it technically is a more efficient design (along with the intake redesign), the gains are negated my the emissions equipment. This is why the engineers changed it to begin with - to keep the power numbers the same despite the restrictive emissions equipment.
Thanks Dukie, this means I can keep some cash in my pockets and not dish it out for headers. Also I feel so green knowing that my rig is less polluting and earning me carbon credits that I can turn in for...... what are these credits for?

2awg is what i had for my stick welder, so thats what i went with, i can see 4 awg being a tad easier to run, i can post a few pics when it warms up a little (rained yesterday and cold as heck this mornin' if it helps anyone get some ideas for running the cables

For 750 watt 4 gauge should be good. 2000 watt amp kits come with 4 gauge do If they're anything alike you may could just get an amp kit if it's cheaper

lol, i also plan on putting my batt in the cab (just like i did on my '84) and possibly running dual batteries, ;3, so the 2awg has a little bit more of a hidden purpose than just running a 1600watt (peak) inverter :-D

About the only thing I know about electricity is that the Black wires tend to be EVIL!!!! What I was wondering is, the instructions for my inverter tell's me to use 4ga wire for a permenet auto install. But the darn thing came with a auto acc cord that plugs in to the lighter socket. I know that cord was no 4ga wire (maybe 20ga). Why do I have to go medievil on the permenat install wire?

most of the time if your going to be permanently installing an inverter you'r more likely to pull the max continuous output than if your running it from the accessory outlet, my inverter came with 8awg jump leads to go from the batt to the inverter, and called for a minimum of 4awg wire, so i went overkill (with what i had lol)

Sure.......
The tray is made of one piece of plexiglass glued to another that acts as a lip to keep the computer from slipping off. The stem for it is made from gas pipe fittings and cheap steel fence mounts.

Turns out wing nuts are a bad idea because they come lose during the day so i went back to regular.... just a muffler clamp... simple and effective.
