Just put a HomeLink transmitter in the sun visor of my 2000 Cheokee. Was real easy. The HomeLink was about $20 on eBay. Just popped open the visor(be careful as the plastic tabs can break), used my Dremel to cut the plastic, hooked the wires to the existing vanity mirror wires, closed everything back up, cut the fabric and snapped on the buttons. Looks just like it was factory installed. Make sure you pay attention to the polarity of the wires.

I was going to do that!!! What did you use? I was planning on using threaded rod with copper sleeving over it. That would have made it easy to install because you just tighten some nuts down on it.

I made it even easier than that. 3/16" steel rod, with speed clips on each side.

That was also floating around in my mind but all of the parts store around here only sell speed clips in variety packs with two of each size. I would have spent like $20 on just speed clips so it wasn't worth it for me.

i'd put one of those dog gates in front of that stand bc if you ever get into an accident you and or your kid are going to catch that rack

None of my Lowes or home depots have anything automotive. They have a very small selection of car washing supplies and RV antifreeze. What a rip off
