That looks fantastic, very clean and factory looking.

Thanks. That's what I was hoping for. I wanted it to be out of the way and as factory looking as possible.

Do you have any more pics of how exactly you did it? I am going to try this probably this week. Probably my favorite CB location. I never use those compartments up there anyway.

I made sure I had plenty of time so I didn't rush and screw it up. I only removed what I had to in order to get the cb to fit. I took some pictures but they didn't come out well. I'll see if I can find some decent ones.

This is the best I've got. It kind of shows what I cut out and the finished product after cutting everything out.

That definitely helps. I had to go with an under-dash mount since my wife didn't like the dangling cable idea. Thanks for the great pics though!

I didn't like the dangling cable either so I ran a small bungee through the coiled part and zip ties it at both ends. Then used a mic hook in the middle to support it. Keeps it nicely out of the way but still handy when I need it.

lmfao. thats exactly what i was thinking as i saw the pic.
is that a british import. thata looks like a reverse image. I wqas about to say that wait it would be impractible becuz it would be out of reach from the drivers seat. then i relized it might be imported from a british factory.

I'm in Australia. It's not a perfect location for access but the mike makes it to the drivers side ok. you need the type of cb that has a separate face plate and main unit. The main box is under the passengers seat and the part you can see is the control panel. I've had a few people think it was just a dummy cb and not working until I show them. One of my better ones.

ok that makes sense. that is a great idea tho for the stupid space there. just like that lil spot by the shifter(the concave spot) is perfect fit for a bic lighter. and the spot under the ash tray is perfect for smokes.
