He has all of the power "inputs" wired together, and all of the grounds wired together. When he turns a switch on, it closes the circuit between the power "input" prong, and the middle power "output" prong on just that switch. I am pretty confident that the ground wiring is just for the LEDs in the switches.

Edit: The power "input" wire will also power the switch's LED when the circuit is closed.

Ok, so all the "outputs" will be seperate, gotcha. I'm a wiring idiot.

That's why I asked, I like hearing explanations it helps me learn. Lol

Thanks.

Here is what I decided to do with my blank plate space.

I don't have a tach in the cluster, and at wasn't interested in swapping the whole cluster out at that time.

And don't worry about the cheap carbon fibre style vinyl. :P

when i got it all apart i found more fun damage to the uniframe. I used a BFH to straighten it out the best i could and made some plates to reinforce both parts of the frame and to be part of the frame. I used a piece of card board a sharpie and a hammer to make the outline for the four plates. i cut the edges off by holding the board up on one side and using the sharpie to outline it on the opposite. then i kept it there and used a small hammer to pound the holes into it so i could have an exact copy of it to make my plates. i cut a square notch in the inner driver side because the steering gear box.

next i cut a 2x4 steel tube to reinforce my new subframe it was about 33 inches. welded that up. cut the holes in the plates for grade 8 bolts to go through tightened them up and welded them in place and the 2x4. then i cut a plate to go infront of all that and welded that is 3/16 hardened steel.

for the winch base plate i used 1/4 steel and added four 3/16 triangle peices as gussets. from there i welded that all up to the front mount because i dont plan on ever taking this off and if i ever have to i will use a cutting torch or plasma cutter. then i bolted the winch on and welded the front bash plate on. i cut out triangular pieces and welded it out to finish it towards the fenders. finally i cut a plate out for the fair lead welded that up. since i can only post five pics heres the final product.

Not to be off topic... but im diggin the army digital camo on the hood. atfiurst glkace i thought it was fade spotw. really really really bad fade spots. but i took a second look and i am impressed. now if you had a way to conceal the winch? like the corvvette license plate covers or the old cadilillac elderado headlight covers? that would be pretty sick too

It's nothing, only exist to cover up the circuit board for the clock itself.

Would be a good place to install auxilery and fog light switches tho. just to make use of the space.

Well if you have an LCD clock there is no space behind it to be used. It's all silicon and wires.

I wired them that way so that you only have to run one hotwire for all the toggles and you only one ground for the switches, Then you would only have to wire out of the middle for to each relay designated for each set of fog lights, since space is limited. We still need to finish this, when we do I will post the finished product. (He got real busy with school, work and girls.)
As for needing to replace a bad switch, that really would not be that hard they just pop in and you would just heat the solder away. Not that complicated really.
Plus the switch doesn't carry hardy any current to cause it to fail. The power is between hot lead to the light in the relays.
