Exclamation oxyacetylene will do it

where are you getting your info on oxyfuel welding being only good for thin metal. yes mig and tig are better but in its early introduction before the intro of arc welding and this info is coming from pratical welding today march/april 1998 by James H Smith"oxacetylene welding was widely used in the early to mid 1900's for applications including pipelines, shipbuilding, railroads and structural buildings now wouldn't that be thick steel and most bumpers are 3/16 to 1/4in thick steel also oxyfuel welding is the easiest to learn NOW if you can take welding classes would be better but my school has pre/co requesites before i can even get into a welding class so if you only want a bumper that may not be your best option go with OXYFUEL
