Tim,
You need to grow a tougher hide if you're gonna put pictures of your projects on the internet......Especially if your going to attempt to sell them to people here.
The statement was made because 2 bumpers in a row were posted with obvious kinks in the tube. As I stated, kinked tube is weak tube...no matter who did it or how they did it. The bumpers are weak as a result, there's no arguing it. A weak structure is not something that anyone is going to want as a foundation for recovery points or front end protection.
And since YOU posted your project, and YOU stated that you sell them, then YOU need to be willing to answer any and all questions about YOUR product. So before you get your knickers in a knot, sit back and consider what you're selling and consider the fact that your reputation rides on the very front of that bumper.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but CRAFTSMANSHIP and QUALITY CONTROL are all on YOU.

And all im saying is its a prototype and i obviously noticed the kinked bends not a problem thats why im not selling this bumper. and it doesent have that much to do with the quality of metal it is about having the right bender and dies for the pipe.

and ya im selling them and even the first built kinked bumper i have people that want it.

Well tim I'll give ya credit for getting out there and actually putting something together yourself. Don't start counting your money just yet though.
Hope it works out for ya and you become rich and famous.

I dont think Frankz was questioning the quality of the metal, just letting you know that a kink in the metal creates a weak stress point in the metal. If it is going to bend or break that is where it it will do it. I build cages for race cars using an inexpensive air over hydraulic bender that makes clean bends nicely, I dont even like the bends an exhaust bender does because it crimps the pipe. I realize that there is a safety strength issue on cages and not bumpers, but why create a weak point anytime. that being said I give credit to anyone who takes intiative to build anything themselves, and the design is pretty decent---I'm sure they will be great when you work out the "kinks"...no pun intended

Here's the one I built. The plate is 3/16" the d-ring tabs are going to be tied into the frame, they are 2 pieces of 1/2" welded together and milled. The body mounts are 3/8" plate. The main hoop is 1 1/2"x.120 HREW and the support bars are 1 1/4"x.120 HREW. The main hoop also has 3/16" gussets, and there are 4 3/16" gussets along the inside.
