DOM tube not domestic. It stands for Drawn over mandrel. It doesn't have a welded seam like HREW, CREW and other pipe and is therefore stronger and also the tolerences are a lot more exact.

If you sleeve it you need more than 4" because that's where the stress will build and break it. Use at least a foot so it spreads it out.
U got pics how did u get around bending for the differential

I used a buddies tube bender but even straight it wouldn't have hit the diff. Mine only has a bend near the axle mount. I actually need to build a new one and mount it on top of the axle to match my OTK steering and it won't have a bend at all.
Just an FYI the stock TRE won't hold up to the angles of much over 3-4" of lift.

It does have a seam but I think thats waaaaaaaay to deep for this thread. If you could post a pic that would be sweet, been researching myself found this on pirate and thought it was pretty interesting.

wow 4 pages of "don't do it". Seems to be a trend here. I would trust all the builders here. Maybe, just maybe you can ask these guys here if someone has 12" of DOM they would be willing to part with? Maybe pay for the shipping and consider it donated for your build. I don't have any otherwise I would have PM'd my offer. Saving money to build this part can = a costly tow, hrs of headache trying to get out of the woods, more damage to your rig or people. Just a suggestion. Kudos to you for building your own parts. Thats what Jeep guys do.

This is the worst idea and the worst attitude from someone who was asking opinions. I have had a track bar fail on the freeway and I'm glad no body got hurt. I wasn't so lucky and neither was my jeep. I'm on xj #2. Don't be stupid. Do not run that's stupid setup.
