Cast iron sparks are duller & pop like fireworks at the end before they fade out.
I was a professional welder for 16 years. It is possible to weld castings, with preheat, and the correct filler metal. Stress relief is very important, peening works well.
My take on this idea is that it's not going to be safe on the road.
A track bar is a very important part of the coil spring suspension, loosing it at speed could have deadly consequences.

Again not tryna talk **** just sorting out what's goin on. If you do get that piece of dom you might also want to get another stock track bar. Where you cut it wouldn't seem to have enough bar on one end to really sleave it good.
