I have, on my buddy's mud truck that never sees the road. But its not safe or advisable. They are cast for rigidity. I made one out of mild steel.

Your entire jeep will fall down around it! You going to come up with your own bushings? Does it have to adjust? I can bend a piece if Dom long and send it to you. If your a good welder just center your axle, and measure, then weld in some ends.

My uni body's a lil tweaked from wheelin too. Why I did was put in my springs, put the wheels on. Let the weight down on it, in a safe and level environment. Then I used rachet straps to pull it to what was as close as I could get it, then adjusted my Trac bar to that, and bolted it up. Not sure if its the "correct way" but it worked great for me. Oh ya, I also drank alot of Budweiser, not sure if this helped or not. But I would try it anyway.!
