Default Chop that top

I just got a 99 GC last month. I actually got it out of a scrape yard. It had been wrecked. 4.7 liter. Runs good. Everything works. I'm chopping it and makin it into my toy. Here is what it looked like when I got it. I will be posting pics as I complete the job.

Here is the top being chopped. I cut the back hatch in half and am going top use the top half as my back glass that will be functional to open and the bottom half as my tailgate.

Well, what kinda wheeling are you gonna do with it? What size tires do you someday wanna run? What is your driving style (romp on the gas to get threw it, or slow & steady)?

If it was me... It would be a 3link front, leaf sprung rear... using hpd60 and a 14 bolt/d70 rear.

It says I dont plan on breaking. I see no point in wasting money in a LP d30 or a d44a.

I would agree! But a 44 front and a 9 inch rear would be a good combo, or a 60/14ff, or 44/D60, or ect.... This really has to be desided by the OP after decisding a max tire, and I don't mean max tire today... long term. if you think 35's are your max build it to handle 37-38's lol

I like the chop! haven't seen many GC chopped! Since your already coils F+R I would keep it coils/coilover.
