mopars of those years came with theroquad carbs, small blocks 600 too 650 cfms big blocks 750 too 850 cfms. but do too possiable high miles (not sure if motor has been rebuilt etc) i would go with 650 to 750 cfm with mild jetting your valves are large enough on a stock 383 to handle it, when ma mopar brought the 400 block in to use that 1 had the small valves cause of the smog heads. good luck with her.

They were used as race carbs starting in '69.

its all usfull info as some carbs (650 cfm hollies) seam to be rare over here unless you want a double pumper!!!
just had the rear springs rebuilt by the same company that did my xj ones. they had to replace 2 leaves in each and only charged me £55 for a full refurb and re tempering each spring pack
to import some due to wieght would have been around £500..ouch

Sweet!!! My first car was a '68 Plymouth Sport Fury with a 383. Gotta love those lead sleds. If you set 'em up right, those cars with a 2bbl carb will fly in the 1/8 mile against a lighter 4bbl car. I miss that old car so much. Someday, someday...
