For those of you that have run into the problem of your hatch not unlocking because of broken wires, on the inner plastic panel there is a little access panel that pops open. Inside behind the insulation, there is a black plastic lever that you push down. Instant unlock! I've heard of guys with ZJs that had to cut the inner panel to get access. I'm glad I never had that problem on my 97 ZJ! There's no keyhole on a WJ.
