Hey guys. This 4.7 that I picked up before I left for vacation did not have a front driveshaft in it. It has the 249 quadratrac transfercase with the 4.7. I am wanting to put the np242hd transfercase in it, but got to find and pull one first.

My question right now is the following. I am needing a driveshaft, and I am not sure if this jeep came with the CV style driveshaft or not. Not even sure if it matters or not. I know some put in the ZJ driveshaft...But I am seeing mixed information on it.

Knowing that I have the 249 currently, and I am going to do the 242 swap...What all do I need? I would like to get the front driveshaft in until I do the 242 swap...

Whats the best route to go? v8 ZJ 96-98 driveshaft + yokes on both the transfer and front axle? I have 7" of lift.
