Default Winter rims

I'm new to this forum - 1st post. I own two Grand Cherokees and I need your expert advice. I have a new set of winter tires - 245/75-16 - that I'd like to put on my wife's 2004 Limited (4.7 8 cyl.). Her car has 17" rims. I think it is cheaper to buy four 16" rims to mount the new tires I have rather then buy four new 17"s for the winter . My question is what 16" rims will fit? I hope to buy used rims somewhere. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have a new set of Bridgestone Winter Dueler DMZ3's. I have no idea what the backspace or bolt pattern is. For instance, will Dodge truck rims fit? I am just looking for anything used that will fit. Will Wrangler or Cherokee Sport rims fit by any chance? Also, it is a Quadra Trac / AWD model - do I need to worry about tire / wheel combo OD? TIA

Great info - thx. I don't have a specific Dodge Truck in mind, just thought perhaps Chrysler truck rims might fit. So the answer is I need 5 x 5 pattern rims in a 16" dia off another Grand Cherokee and nothing else will be a perfect fit, correct? Anyone out there have a good used set FS? I'm in NE PA (Poconos) - as long as they're 16's and will hold a 245/75-16. Any problem fitting these tires in the Jeep's fender well? The current tires are 235/65-17. I'll keep the 17" rims and use them for summer only. I tried Craigslist, E-Bay w/o any success. Tirerack doesn't offer stamped steel rims for the Grand Cherokee anymore - I found stamped steel rims (new) in Canada thru the Canadian Tire Store site. I think it is about $65 per rim but not certain. Thx again.

There's always these...

Or maybe check out a wrecking yard, or find a JK owner who's changing his wheels, and pick up his stock wheels cheap....I've seen a few on e-bay...

WJJEEPS.com is a great reference for 99 - 04 Grands. From that website here is the 16" wheels that you would need to clear the calipers and such.

All 16x7.0" Wheels: Backspacing = 6.0" Offset = 50.8mm Bolt pattern = 5x5 (5x127mm)

Well, I finally found winter rims for my GC. I purchased a set of four stamped steel wheels specifically for the GC at Canadian Tire in 16" x 7.5". They cost me $79.95 Cdn each and apparently I got the last four available in the Montreal area. Seems they're flying off the shelf across the country. Now all I have to do is drive up (6 hrs each way) and get them. Even with the $100 in gas, it'll be worth the effort I think. Where else can you find (4) brand-new rims for $320.00 + $100.00 ? What width are the stock rims on my '99 GC? I think she came with 225-75/16: are they 8" or 7.5" wide? I may use the new steel rims this winter on the '99 and put the '99 rims on the wife's '04 GC. They should fit, right (same bolt pattern/ offset, etc.)?
