Has anyone tried out the Trailmaster TM rims? My stock rims are shot, unable to be balanced. plus one has a hole.
These rims are only $35 a piece. Usually when something is too good to be true, it is. I need some input on these pronto, I can't drive my jeep over 40MPH right now.
TM5 is what I am looking at. 15x8 5x4.5

I have them on my ZJ. No problems and they're pretty strong. The only nit I have to pick is that you can see the welded seam on the hoop if the light hits the wheel right. Not a big deal.

I was looking at these a while back. If you can find them in stock then get them. Usually 4wd always has them on back order. I called several times to try and order them and they didn't have any of the ones in the size I wanted available. National back order of 8 weeks. I'd call whoever you're ordering them from to be sure they actually have them. $35 a piece is a good price. Just beware that some steel wheels might be out of round as well. I bought a set similar to Trailmasters and 2 for sure had throw out and wouldn't balance. Tire shop let me see it on the balance machine how bad it was.

I just bought a set of factory rims off Craigslist. Turns out one is a little bent. The shop didn't tell me that though. I was driving and almost crashed because it almost shook me off the road at 50mph.
I pulled the plug and bought two pro Comp steelies $52 a piece. Will never buy used rims again.

Just another China knockoff is all if they get trashed the first time out on the trail you haven't lost much. Just be sure and buy the correct 15x8" with 3.75-4" of BS and your good to go up to a 35x12:50x15 if you wish.
Buying used you always run the chance of getting someone's problem or the incorrect size for your app.

Buying used for a spare is fine. But all four is too sketchy for me. I did only pay $40 for all four wheels so I can't be too upset that one of them was messed up. Why take a risk buying cheap Chinese knockoffs that might work when you can spent an extra 15-$20 and get something you know is going work and has a good warranty
