Thanks in advance for any input.
94 zj limited 5.2L, 232 thousand mi.,
249 t-case, automatic.
Have the bad wheel jerk at turns at slow speed (like being in 4-low on pavement)
Tried friction modifier specified for mopar (worked for an hr. Kinda)
Extracted front drive shaft (propeller shaft) on hopes to solve the issue till I can put in a different t case.
Its a lot better! But still binds up a little after warming up. The wheel hop feeling is practically nil. But the issue isn't fully resolved. I plan a gear oil change soon, been checking fluids frequently. I'm wondering if someone has a good idea on what to check first? Brakes, wheel bearing (checked a while back), ECT. Thanks again.

The viscous coupler has a finite life, then must be swapped. A new transfer case is not required. I got a rebuilt VC off eBay w/ a one year warranty and it has been fine.
The failed VC is removed from being a problem source when the front drive shaft is removed.
The four tires need to have exactly the same outside diameter to avoid inducing the failure. I use two fabric tailor's tape measures sewn together to permit making the tire OD measurement w/ the wheels hanging in the air.
The factory limited slip rear end requires the friction modifier to be included w/ the specified lubricant. If the rear end is sticky try doing low-speed parking lot figure eight turns to pump the lubricant, per the FSM.

I am familiar with the low figure eights, the previous owner would buy used cheap tires and would complain about the rear tires wearing too fast. First thing I did once road legal was get new set of tires. But is around time to rotate. Will check that out. Thank u.
If the problem persist after gear oil is out of the question, does anyone have a solid idea on what the culprit likely is? It only acts up aft we the jeep is on the road for a while, and is only noticed when making turns. I need to learn how to upload video. I know its explained in just not so techno savy.
