Hi to all. I have noticed the brake fluid in the clutch resevoure on my 91 xj getting very dark. I was wondering if I shuld open the bleeder on the transaction and suck the fluid through untill it is clean again. I have read somewhere that the black in the fluid is actually small particles of the rubber seal, and if I change the fluid that it might make the clutch master cylinder stop working. What are your thoughts on this? Is it advisable to change dirty break and clutch fluid? Or no ? Thanks

I would first suck all the fluid from the reservoir. Don't touch the clutch pedal after that!!
Wipe the black stuff out with a lint free rag.
Fill with new fluid.
Then bleed the system.

good idea, but then with the clean fluid in the tank should I then bleed the clutch to push out any particles still in the lines and slave calendar ? also, would you think that the black particles help the piston seal in the master calendar? and would changing the fluid promote the seals to not seal ? what do you think ?

Black (or pink or blue or any other color) particles are not going to help a seal. Clean fresh fluid is good, dirty old fluid is bad.
It's really that simple.
