Hi guys I need your advice. So today I replaced the clutch master cylinder on my 1993 cherokee and Now every time I pump the clutch and hold it, the main line that connects to the cylinder starts squirting like crazy. I did reuse the pin that holds the line and made sure that the line was seated properly. Could it be the pin that holds the line in place? Something wrong with the line? Please
help guys
Yeah its leaking out the front of the line , where it connects to the cylinder. Shoots like a sprinkler. I did replace the only o ring that I saw on the actual line. Is there more than one o ring?
Called my local dealer here in the 303 area and they told me that its spraying like that because its an aftermarket unit and not OEM and that it could be deffective. They also said that they don't even make OEM ones anymore. I guess I'm just going to get a new unit at O'Reillys again and see if it works. The bad part is every time it sprays it wants to leak down towards the fuse box and wires. That's why I replaced it in the first place, cleaned all of the box and wires with electrical cleaner, and now this again. LOL
Could it be spraying because I have air in that line? What's a proper way to bleed it? Slave cylinder is internal on it and sits inside the transmission.
