Default Brake lights and flashers stopped working.

Just finished master cyl and booster upgrade. Got stopped by an officer telling me my brake lights don;t work. Did nothing to the wireing, but they stopped working.checked all fuses inside and in pd block, all good. Checked power to the switch and nothing at all. Any ideas?

Look for the ground in the back, that could be the problem.

Checked fuses for power in and out ? A good fuse with out power is useless.

Checked all fuses, and all good. Rear ground wire is good. Pink wire feeding the stop light switch, has power, until you release the plunger, then wire goes dead. I have a new light switch and it does the same thing with that. All other lights work except hazards and brakes. Am I missing something?

No trailer harness. Found 1 problem with a ground that I made, but it's fixed now. I jump the pink to white tan wire, it loses power again. I know of the ground at the rear, and up by the PCM, is there anymore? Found yesterday that when the pink wire goes dead(when pedal is pushed) the white with ink stripe has power. Also if I jump the white tan wire with a live wire the brake lights do cone on.

All fixed! Took the fuse box out yesterday, seperated the inside section and started looking for the pink black wire. Checked with test probe and nothing. Grabbed my ohm meter and put it on buzzer. Put it into the hazard port and used an extension over to the PD box. No buzzer, checked a few times in main harness, nothing either. So pulled the 20 amp fuse in the PD, and found a constant hot in the chime connection next to the fuse block. Pulled as much of pink wire on the feed side, cut it, put a spade terminal on it and plugged it into that port. Flashers and brake lights are back to normal working, and even brighter than before. Might not have been the correct way to do it, but easierthan pulling the whole harness apart to pull that 1 wire and replace it.
