Default Transmission not staying in overdrive

I just got a 93 jeep grand Cherokee 5.2 4x4 the trans shifts good till it gets too the last shift it seems sometime to not want to go into overdrive then if it does it doesn't want to stay in it kicks out of it real easy but once over 60 it's fine it's not as bad any ideas? I did research the problem the fluid is good

what i meant was larger tires changes the gear ratio and could be keeping the rpms lower then normal at any given speed, but since you are on stock tires thats not going to be an issue

Check your kickdown cable. Make sure it's adjusted right.

I believe 93 was the last year for the AW4, right? Sorry, I know nothing about that one.

He has the 5.2L so he should have the 46RH transmission. The AW4 was behind the 4.0 on some 1993 models.
