Angry Theres a miss

I just replaced the spark plugs which fixed the major problem but the problem that has been there since the beginning. It revs up and then try to die out while idle or stopped at a light. Have replaced the tempature sensor, spark plugs, and oil change. What else could it be? Please help. There isnt a check engine light on either!

Try cleaning your idle air controller (IAC). It's mounted on the throttle body on the 4.0 I6 with a couple of torx screws.

The "Map Sensor" $50/60 is what was causing it to do it on my 02 WJ Overlander 105K.

Literally the same exact scenario on occasions it would die at idle at a stop light. Annoying as hell...

Ever since I changed it out, it hasn't done it since. Good luck I hope that's it for you too.

Good luck moe

PeterB.
