Hi -- new to the site. My daughter has a 1997 Grand Cherokee Limted. Two prpblems: 1) The rear window on the tailgate does not open. Wondering if there is a fuse for this window latch? and 2) the remote entry system works ok except for the drivers side door. Any advice before I go to the dealer would be appreicated.

 

i had the same problem with my window latch when i got it, first thing i did was take off the panel and did some investigating, i forgot what i did but i remember it was a real easy fix

 

In side the hatch there is a treadled stud that comes up from what you pull and coming from the latch there is a real chintzy clip that is suppose to grab on to the threads. It doesn't. I took a vice grips and smashed it on there. Over a year it still works and I use it all the time. If I did it agen I would put some nuts on there one on top and one on bottom. To get the door open is the hard part. I couldn't take the inside panel off with the hatch closed. So I crawled back there and wiggled a screw driver around in there wile pressing agents the door. Sound red neck as hell and I am but it worked.
