Question Starting issue

Hi all,
I am new to the forum and could really use some help.

I have 95 ZJ with a 318 V8.

When I turn the key 1 of 2 things happen, it either sounds like the battery is dead and I can here a clicking noise as if the starter is trying but cant get enough juice or nothing happens. to get around this I have been removing the positive battery cable for about 10 sec and then restarting and then the engine starts up fine. I thought it was the security system but I am not sure. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Welcome to CF!

I would suspect the battery cable clamp. It may be stretched and not clamping tight enough even though the bolt is tight. Try replacing the clamp and see what happens.
