Seems like I can't catch a break! Went to start up the JEEP for work, no lights or anything! I have a new 150$ battery in it as well...
I have a remanned motor with only 2K on it so far, mostly new accessories including starter so I don't assume it was that.
Anyways...I tried to charge the battery- nothing.
I tried to jump it- nothing.
Then I thought it must be a bad ground from the battery. So, with the key on, and headlights on, I went to engine bay and started wiggling all the grounds until WHAM- I HAD HEADLIGHTS ON!
So now, I got power to the vehicle, grabbed my buddy to turn the key for me, and watched as it instantly fired up...
I need your opinion based on a couple pictures. Is this the reason it didn't start? Does that little bit of corrosion look bad? All I did was shake the negative a smidge...
I'd absolutely clean those connections up. If you see that much green, its probably worse inside the wire itself. If you've got enough play in it, hack a couple inches off and see what you have when you strip it. Otherwise, it might be time to replace them.
