Ground wire.

Does anyone know what the ground wire behind the spare tire panel goes to? I'm in a 1989 xj Laredo

A few things. Fuel pump, taillights etc. Why?

Just wondering. I was in the back of my jeep cleaning up all the atf I spilled on my way to swap out my transfer case. And though I'd fix my speaking spare tire. Saw the wire there and sanded down the paint off the chassis put it back on. Thanks!
