When I turn the key OD lights up off on the dash. Start the car and push the button, doesn't come on (doesn't read off or on) . Button feels good. Where do I start to solve this problem?

The initial turn of the key is a "Bulb Test" sequence. That's all. It doesn't mean the system is working or not, just that the bulb is good.

Is the O/D turning off when you are driving and push the button or not? Is it shifting into 4th gear? 4th gear IS O/D. It's shifted by a solenoid in the transmission and controlled by the transmission control module (TCM).

Figure it out and come back to us.

 

Right there on the shifter between N and 3 is OD.
OD is OverDrive. 3 is non-OD, the Transmission will not shift into OD when in the 3 position.
