Hey Jeepers,
I've been lurking for awhile now, and after filling my gray matter with all the info and pics I've seen here, I thought I'd start posting and start asking questions. My Metal Machine seems to need some more metal. My driver side wheel well is rotting, as you can see in the pix. The hole is about 2" in diameter, and you can see the jagged edge splitting on either side of the hole. I don't know or have any access to welding equipment or welders (yet) and I'm way beyond broke. I'm in the process of solidifying my ZJ so I can build it up. Someone suggested I could clean up the whole area, mask it, and use fiberglass to fill it in. Would that work? Any ideas and suggestions would be great.

Thanks

I don't think fiberglass is going fix that area, that is a structural part of the uni-body and it needs to be strong. The best way to repair that would be to cut all of the rotten metal out and weld in new metal.

I am a big fan of fiberglass but as busted back stated / rivet or self tap metal in and glass to pretty it up if you have a map gas set-up brase works quite well
