Question Need help on tire and lift

So i have a 1998 jeep grand cherokee (gonna post a pic tomorrow) now i have two options that i have been thinking about... either 35s and a lift or just putting on a 4 inch lift and 38s and spacings the 38s outside of the vehicle .... let me know what you think or any suggestions... Thanks

Your options aren't very realistic. You can safely stuff a 33 inch tire in the fender wells with a four inch long arm lift. You won't be able to run a 38 inch tire outside of the fenders, that is impossible. The stock gearing sucks for anything larger than a 33, plus the axles are pretty weak too. If this is your daily driver you really don't want to go more than a four inch lift and a 33 inch tire. Any more than that it's going to cost you a lot of money and require lots of new parts.

Anything bigger then 35s you need to swap axles,And to fit 38s your looking like a 8 inch lift or higher and cut out fender flares.

Wish I could..... Now so is it safe to say I can't put 35s spaced outside to even with a long arm.. Not like 5ft out but like just barely outside if not then I will take ur advice on the 33s.. (Also will 33s fit with a regular 4" short arm lift cuz I was gonna get a leaf spring)

How are you going to put them "outside?" 18" spacers?

Something like that avcept 4" lift an 33s or 35s. Trying to shoot for the stars but if it don't work I'll probably go with 33s 4" lift an just a small offset

Those are full sized axles, not the stock ZJ axles.

Full width axles are from a full size pickup 3/4ton or 1 ton and are a good 5 to 7 inches wider depending what they are from. And to swap full widths your looking a good 3 grand or more before your all in and done. They take welding and buying all the axle mounting tabs new steering linkage new track bar new driveshafts front and rear and new rims since they are 8 lug.

Those axles are probably 1 tons. Those sit outside the jeep as it is and take some modification to fit

So I'm probably gonna stick with a 4" lift and 33s
