It's a 44 re I think. Ok to give you a better understanding of what's wrong with the jeep I'll explain it a little better. I can start the jeep and when I put it in Reverse it doesn't move when I put it i in neutral it goes forward. I would then put it all the way down to first then move it up to 2nd then drive then when I put it in neutral it actually is in neutral and I'd slow down And try n put it in Reverse and it'll stop but it wouldn't go reverse. Also my 2wd doesn't work anymore I done all within my reach and capabilities to try n get to the bottom of this. Can someone throw some experience and knowledge my way? Thanks in advance

Have you checked the shifter cable? It is probably out of adjustment

Yes I've tried that. But they're is a good chance I didn't do it correctly. Is there a possible way to provide the procedure?

I always start by putting the shifter in park, then taking the cable loose and manually shifting the tranny into park. Adjust the cable accordingly. Then check the drive position the same way and take the cable loose off the tranny and see if it matches up without moving the trans shift arm. If so, tighten it up and you are done. Also remebert you will have to pull the console and make sure stuff it tight there too
