Unhappy Reverse Light delay??

I know its probably some stupid wiring problem, but this just recently started to happen, my reverse lights do not come on unless i've been in reverse for about a minute, pretty annoying, not to mention unsafe with the parking lot that I have to park in. When the come on, its just like normal, then if i switch back into gear or neutral they go off, then back into reverse they come on right away.... Any Ideas?

I'd start by pulling the bulbs out and look for corrosion in the sockett and around the bulb and make sure everything is tight

Neutral safety switch. If I'm not mistaken it controls your reverse lights.
Here ya go.

Winner Winner Chicken Dinner.

Time to pull it off and clean it before you get a no-start issue.

That NSS is the biggest POS. I've had to clean it off twice in the last year. Be glad you don't do it this frequently.

WINNER WINNER! cleaned out greased up the NSS today, now I have reverse lights!! Looked SOO much better once I got it all cleaned out. greased it up with some dilithium grease and works like a charm! BUT I noticed that the rubber/plastic gasket was broken(see pictures) I just put it back in and put grease around that too, do I need to worry about this or am I going to be good? Oh yeah, so i think the problem was with the spring loaded copper contacts in the arm, it was so gummed up the contacts were kinda stuck in...

No, but expect to clean it again soon.

Future notes: I would pick up some dielectric grease and get it in there as well.

I put the dielectric/dilitithium grease in, I just forgot to take a picture of it done.

Thanks
