Default Motor reliability

Hey All,

Was thinking about purchasing another GC. I have heard mixed opinions about the 4.7. My Jeep has a 5.2 and it's been just wonderful. I have no experience with the 4.7 and would like some feedback. Any opinions on the 3.7?

4.7L is a good strong engine. I have a 2001 Dakota with 187000 miles and still breaks the tires free when I step on the pedal

When I was shopping for a WJ, my research indicated that the 4.7 was on track to follow the reputation of the 4.0 I6 for longevity.

I have no complaints with the 4.7ho... only 80k on the clock, but it still turns all 4 tires over from a stop...
