2003 Cherokee, loose nagative battery cable! The original battery cable appears to have been installed upside down. The connector at the battery has two cables comming out at about a 20 degree angle upward. This seems to cause additional stress at the connector from engine vibration and caused the connector to become elongated and loose. Should the connector be turned over so the angle of the cables comming out is downward relieving the stress, or am I over thinking this? What does the "book" say? Help!
Thank you in advance for input, I know I'm being ****, but being a type "A" is tuff!
John
P.S. Turning it over involves cutting it out of the loom.
See post # 5 for photo!

Loose ground cable will do really weird stuff. Get it fixed
My dads exes truck would have the speedometer go haywire and the radio would do all sorts of weird stuff, the electric locks would quit working sometimes.
It ended up being the ground cable. The truck always ran fine during that time as well.

Of course I could change the cable connector. What I'm trying to determine is if this is an engineering defect or by design!
Cheers,
