JeepCherokee can't start via key
Hello,
So i have this Jeep, it's a -93 Grand Cherokee ZJ at 30k km.
Im having some problems with starting the car, im gonna try explain this as good as i can.
When i want to start the car i have to turn the key and then i have to walk to the front of the car, open the hood and touch a little "plate". (Watch picture.)
Can i bypass that somehow? Can i do something in with the Neutral safety switch?
Best regards!

That's the starter relay and apparently it's either bad or the circuit thru the NSS is open. Have you tried starting it in neutral or pressing forward on the shifter while trying to start it? Also check the plug on the NSS for broken wires. If you have the 42re transmission, this is what the NSS looks like;
