Jeep Cherokee '99 speaker system
I have a 1999 jeep cherokee amplifier speakers and speaker wiring harness (hopefully complete). I have looked around online for an explanation of how it all goes together and I can not find one. The catch is I want to assemble it out of the jeep. The jeep I got it out of was wrecked and my dad and I scrapped it. I wanted to try and rebuild the sound system out of the vehicle. My question are: is it possible and how do I do it if it is?

What exactly are you wanting to do with the system? Put it in another vehical or are you wanting to use it as sound system outside of a vehical?

I am sorry. I probably was not specific with what I have. I have 4 car speakers, two (round) door speakers and two (oval) speakers and an amplifier and a couple wiring harnesses. No subs. All of the parts were pulled directly out of the Jeep, and i was just wondering if it is possible for someone to tell me how, if it is possible, to reassemble the parts into a functioning system. sorry for the confusion

That's hard to say really. If you have the amplifier and the harness connect the harness to the amp then give it power. From there you could measure the voltage(s) of the harness. Typical car speakers are usually 4 ohms, but multiple speakers could be wired in parrellel which would reduce impedance or in series which would increase impedance, or even a combination of both. I would imagine they would also be running off of 5 volts at 4 ohms.

I've seen guys put car audio systems in boats, but they just wired them the way they were in the car. Same speakers, same harness. It probably would have been a good thing if you had labeled everything when you took it out.

I would agree with you about labeling. But my uncle too the system out without the intention of putting it back so nothing is labeled but is still in good condition
