Default Intermittent A/C issues

OK, on my '99 WJ Limited I have the dual-zone controls (now a single zone from a blend door fix) and have an issue with the A/C. At times I get a somewhat cool moist air blowing out and then it can switch to absolutely ice cold. I had this happen last year but never really did anything about it. The condensor "box" had a leak about 3 years ago and was replaced but other than that the system has only be recharged. I have no idea where to start troubleshooting or if it's worth me tinkering with it. I was kind of hoping it was just a blend door not sealing properly after the fix but the heat works great.

Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like the evaporator is icing up, make sure the HVAV box drain is clean.

You should be able to see it poking out of the firewall on the passenger side.

To the ground. You ever see a puddle of water under the passenger side of a vehicle after its been parked on a hot summer day? That is the evaporator drainage.

Ok, so I think it was the fan clutch going bad and cutting off the compressor when it got too hot. New post is about how crazy loud the new aftermarket Torqflow clutch is.....
