I just got a 97 Grand Cherokee for my grand daughter and it has no owners manual to tell what all the do dads do. Maybe someone has a PDF book I haven't had any luck finding a free one yet.
so thanks for any help

It's at the top of the junction block under the dash, behind an aluminum steering column brace. A royal PITA to get to. It took me 30 seconds to remove it with channel lock pliers and 45 minutes to install the new one with my fingers! The FSM says to lower the junction block for easier access, but you have to pull the feed plugs and I refused to do that.
Just an observation while reading around Dave, but I have a curious question about this diagram. The relay in the second row down at the far right is labeled as a "spare", but where is the relay spot for it to replace as a spare? It won't fit anywhere else will it? lol
IDK man. That pic came directly out of my FSM so I couldn't tell you.
I hope all is good with you Dave?
I was thinking after it is probably a "one size fits all" box and that particular relay just wasn't needed for this model so they labeled it as a "spare" because it wasn't utilized on these.

That's a good bet. Probably used the same fuse box on Dodge Rams and Dakotas.
Ok, just picked up my 2002 Jeep grand cherokee larado. The power windows, locks, mirrors would not work. So someone on the site told me to check the wires between the door and body of the car on the drivers side. Sure enough 4 wires were loose. Took it to my mechanic and he fixed all the wires. Still no power. so he tried a master window switch, no go. I noticed when I drive the locks don't automatically lock, the power mirrors work, but no power windows. I just had the ignition replaced and new keys paired with the car computer before this whole new problem. Everything was working fine before that repair. I don't think that would have anything to do with it. Any ideas? Thanks, Grandma in TX

What you are going to find about Jeeps is although things are "supposed" to be automatic they end up being analog and manual.
