Welcome to CF!

Unfortunately, most of us are not familiar with LPG conversions. There may be some people on the site that can help you, but to my knowledge, nobody has talked about them.

I have been looking at CNG systems, but there aren't many places to get your tanks filled yet. The is a pump you can buy to do it yourself IF you have natural gas in your home.

I also have an LPG set running in my 96 4.0L, it's a Lovato. Normally the LPG control unit only gets the signals from the original injectors, modifies the opening time based on the programming for the LPG injectors, and that's it. If there is a running problem usually it exists in gas mode also. The other common problem is if the LPG system is mis-adjusted with programming, or the LPG filters are blocked, the PCM of the car learns the bad adjustments, and it can cause trouble. Also if the LPG reductor unit is not heated properly by the coolant can change the adjustments. I would suggest to test it with LPG switched off, check the temp of the reductor when tha engine is heated up to normal temp, and its running on LPG, try to reset the PCM by disconnecting battery for 30min, check and change the LPG filters, try to put a new membrane set in the LPG reductor, or get the LPG computer reprogramming.
I hope it will help.
