How hard is it to install coil spacers. I also need new shock and planned on have a local shop do it i wonder if they would put the coil spacers in to.

in my opinion, its the hardest part of lifting ZJ's, the coils are really hard to compress and get around the coil retainers, you can rent coil compressers at some auto parts stores, (you gota ask for strut compressors)
shocks are not hard to put in, took me less than an hour to do all four

Its easy, undo sway bars and shocks and you can usually get the axle to drop enough that you can slide the coils out. Plus you will save a bunch. Usually its do able with out a spring compressor

Undo the sway bar, shocks, and lower control arms. Be careful with the brake hoses, remove the lower spring retaining clip and pull the springs out. Remover the factory spring isolator and slide the new spacer up. The rear is super easy. just remover the upper shock nut and slide the shock off, step down on the hub part of the rear rotor and slide the spring out, remove the isolator and install the spacer. I did mine in less than half an hour in the rear, less than an hour in the front. No spring compressor needed.

Yeah, only the lowers would need to be disconnected from the axle.
