Crank Position Sensor
Ok, just replaced a crank position sensor on my sons 1993 5,2 V8 due to stalling and eventually no start, now it misfires really badly and wont stay running without keeping the foot on the gas, I have double checked all connections and checked plugs, dizzy cap etc, WTF could it be now.
Appreciate any help guys...

Mine had the same problem, it turned out everything was due to the pickup coil. Theres many names for it but thats how pep boys will find it for you. $30, it's in the distributor and takes bout 20 minutes to replace.

Well I thought I had nailed the problem to the CPS the one that I installed was a BWD brans purchased from Advanced Auto Parts, I took the newly installed sensor out and installed a Duralast sensor from Auto-Zone, low and behold it cranked right up and runs great. So looks like i`ll be giving the BWD brand a miss next time.
Also if anyone is going to do this job on this particular vehicle I found a nice little Pittsburgh ratchet from Harbor Freight only about 3" long and the 1/4" Hex Allen Key fits in it perfect, you can get that little ratchet down in there just right, made it a 20min job..
Thanks for all your help guys.
