Brake warning light w/ no ABS light
So I've been dealing with my red brake warning light being on. I've checked the fluid level (good), replaced the emergency brake switch... I found my two rear axle brake lines a little crimped so I replaced the two metal rear axle brake lines and all three rubber lines back there; I went to give it a real good bleeding and the two bleed valves on the front calipers broke so now I have new calipers, pads, and rotors up front. I've now been able to bleed all the brakes three times. The right front seems to have better flow than the other three but the pedal has always felt good and the WJ doesn't have and issues braking (no pulls). I'm not sure where to go from here. Maybe try bleeding the master cylinder and check for any blockage there... Maybe the issue is in the ABS (but I have no ABS light on)......... 1999 Laredo 4.0l 4x4

The brake light only sets with 2 conditions. Either the brake fluid level in the MC is low, or the e-brake is on. The only other time it comes on is if the bulb in the ABS warning light is burnt out or been removed. It's possible the switches on the MC or the e-brake are faulty. The reason I know about the ABS warning light causing the brake light to light is I took the bulb out of it and that's what happened.

Good luck with that! I found out my ABS module was faulty and it costs way too much for me to replace so I put a piece of black electrical tape over the light! LOL! I'd rather not have ABS anyway. I can control the jeep with my foot better. NY doesn't require the ABS to work for inspections.
If you know anybody with a DRB scan tool, they can find out what's wrong with it. Know any good friendly repair shops? A DRB scan tool costs around $1000. A GOOD on that is. My mechanic has a Snap-on that cost that much. It's like a big tablet. That tool told me I had 2 wheel sensors bad and the module pump motor was shot. We cleaned up the sensor tone rings before it said the motor was faulty.
