Hi Nick, My M/Y 2000 WJ Factory Service Manual does not contain an entry for code 46 - either I'm looking in the wrong section or that code does not exist for the M/Y 2000 WJ. I will look around some more to be sure. How did you acquire this code? Did you read this code using a scan tool or did you cycle the Key On/Off x3?

I'm convinced that you were referring to your Idle Air Controller (IAC). The IAC and the bore it travels within can be cleaned during throttle body cleaning. On-line videos are available...

Are you talking about the Automatic Climate Control trouble codes?

Oh, so that's where a 46 can come from?

The recirc air door is on the front of the duct from the cowl that directs air to the blower motor and is just behind the glove box. The recirc motor is attached to that door and should be able to be removed without pulling the dash. CAREFUL OF THE AIRBAG!!!

On the manual systems it's a vacuum unit. It might be electrical on the ATC unit.

I think they fell off the map. Not even a thanks but no thanks. Some people just don't follow-thru anymore.

Yeah, there's a lot of the going around. And you wonder why I seldom answer stupid questions.
