Default 99 wj 4.0 major idling and running issue

Hi, first post but to keep it short i got in a wreck the other day, kinda smashed up my radiator a bit with it leaking quite a bit, deff over heated hard core a few days later not enough water....so obviously i fried something....its having issues now with cranking up, idling and its running really rich smelling, sometimes it smokes out the tail pipes bad, fresh oil around the oil filter placement, im almost positive water in the oil, this weird gooey stuff that started in the air intake....

The first time i got the ebgine light checked it said missfire cylinder 2...changed it now theres a list, same cylinder issue, crank sensor needs to go, multiple cylinder misfire, throttle position sensor circuit high output, single cylinder combustion misfire within 1000 engine revolutions cylinder 1, and throttle position sensor does not agree with map...

Ive seen a bunch of stuff online but i couldnt put everything together n could use some help if you guys dont nind, did i blow a head gasket or what? Im still driving it lightly burning thru gas n filling with water always, n its not leaking anymore btw n sometimes it smells like straight oil burning

Maybe not, you asked though. The nice thing about it is you can get a rebuild kit for around $400.00 and if you are mechanical at all rebuild it yourself.

Why not just replace the engine with a good used one. Late model 4.0s are scarce and the pre-99 ones won't fit. Just an option. The 99-01s had a head problem anyway. I have a replacement head on mine. 193K and the only problem was the cracked head.

I'd hate to see you throw away a perfectly good jeep because of a bad motor. Not to dump on you, but you ruined it yourself by driving it while it was overheating.
