I have a 1998 Grand limited quad. I have the pan off of the trans. right now, just replaced the stock filter with a fram. The fram is too thick, and keeps the pan from being put back on. Can anyone help me out? Wrong filter? Momentary retardedness? Overlooking something? Filter is exactly the same besides the housing and only 2 screw holes instead of 3 like the stock filter. HELP!!!

Wrong filter. I think there were two different pans available for that transmission, one was deeper.
Yea, I just put the old one back in, (not happy about that). I'm in germany, so a trip to the local parts store is out of the question. Gotta order a new one. Thanks for the response though. Don't happen to know the # & letter designation of the trans do ya?
