97 laredo no start no link to pcm
afternoon all. Hoping you can help me before i go nuts. i have a 97 Laredo that died on me as i pulled into work yesterday. i am getting no spark and none of the gauges work. if i try to use my code reader it says no link. ive seen posted that the cps can cause this so i unhooked it and nothing changed. went to the pick and pay and got a pcm rebuilt by mopar 2 yrs ago hoping it would solve the issue. still have the same results. im sure there has to be a relay or a fuse that protects the pcm but other then the asd relay i am at a loss. Am i missing something simple here? yes i could have gotten another bad pcm but i dont think thats it, i think i am just missing something simple. so as it is now I am getting no spark ( no voltage to the coil) no check engine light and no gauges and i have no link when using a scanner. any and all help appreciated

Check around make sure everything has voltage that is supposed to. Such as fuses and sensors and coil. I assume you mean it cranks but no start? Are you getting spark and fuel? How is the fuel pressure, Any codes. Starting to feel like the jeep nanny here.

I'm having this exact issue on my '96 GC 4x4 5.2. I parked it for a month and now it has no spark or ODB linkage. Have you made any progress?

sorry guys but work has been crazy and i haven't had a chance to reply. it wound up being the high voltage lead on the downstream o2 sensor. I had read on another thread about that being an issue where the lead clip breaks and it lands on the drive shaft and gets shorted. went back to work the next day and checked it and sure as anything the wires had been worn away. taped them up and rehung them, replaced the blown fuse and all was good, would have taken me forever to find it with out the nudge in that direction. thanks for the help
