Swapping my single plug PCM to 3 plug PCM?
So I have a 1994 Right hand drive cherokee, 4.0 which has just this week started shutting off on my wife during her route. It always starts right back up, usually in neutral while still rolling. Talking to a friend that is a mechanic he recommended the PCM might have an issue and told me to push on the plug and see if it shut off. After messing with the plug I could not get it to shut off, but I do have a donor 1996 cherokee with a 4.0 but the PCM's are different in that my 94 has a single plug and the 96 has three plugs? Is there a way to make this work or do I need to find another PCM with a single plug? Thanks in advance for any advice.

First thing is, how old is the crank position sensor. Random shut offs and restart is one of the symptoms of one going bad. As far as swapping ECMs, you will need the harness too
